Cave Creek Software provides two solutions for the desktop or your internal network. Both Service Star and Service Station DMS can be used as a desktop application. Below is a description of each product.

Service Station is Cave Creeks has over five years of industry use and provides local dispatching capabilities.

Below are some of the differences between Service Star and Service Station.

Option Service Star Service Station DMS
Network Database Service Star uses an enterprise SQL Server database engine with unlimited connections. Service Station uses an MS Access based database that is recommended for small networks of 1 to 5 users.
Dispatching Uses our latest dispatching engine that includes drag and drop and an Outlook like calendar view for technicians. Uses our classic grid like dispatch board that has been in the field for over five years.
Accounting Service Star does not include any accounting capabilities and is ideal for companies using Quick Books or another third party accounting system. Service Station includes payments, invoices and other accounting based features.
Remote Usage Service Star will allow remote connections if desired. This means users can log in from home or away from the office. Service Station does not have any remote capabilities.
